So...close...

So I'm currently poking my head up from my homework to write a new post. I figured it was about time. Also, I'm in desperate need of a break. Right now I'm working on a painting for art class. It's turning out really well. I'm so happy. Sniff. (Tears of joy.) Still, I need a break if I want it to continue working out well. If you do too much painting in one sitting, it tends to not turn out so well. (To put it mildly.)

So, what have I been up to this week? Well, I spent most of it sick. I was okay when I went into work on Monday morning but by noon my face was running out of various orifices. (orifi?) Quite disgusting really. Extra fun that I was in Egyptian class while this was going on. Tuesday I woke up still feeling sick but it was too late to call in sick so I went in anyway. Both my co-workers were sick too so it was no mystery where I caught it. After playing with the ear thermometer I discovered that I had a temperature of 100 degrees and my co-worker was at 99.6. After work I went home, had soup and then went to class to give a presentation. Yay fun. On the bright side it was only five minutes long which is why I sucked it up and went to class anyway.

After being traumatized by having to be in class like that on Monday and Tuesday I essentially took the rest of the week off of school and work. I went to class on Friday afternoon since it was only an hour long and I had to pick up an assignment for Monday. I tried to work on my painting on Wednesday but I couldn't focus on it because my eyes kept watering so I decided just to leave it until I felt better. So I caught up on my watching of 'The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.' Mmm, Bruce Campbell. I'm now in the middle of disk three. So the week wasn't a total loss. ;)

Must. . . be . . . strong . . .

So I've got six weeks left until I'm done my undergrad. Yay! And boo! Six weeks doesn't seem like that long in some ways but in others it seems far too long. Like in papers, projects, and assignments - it's far too long. I'm trying to keep up what little motivation I have left to make sure I actually get the credits to graduate. That would be a small disaster if I slacked off so much I failed a course since I need all of them. That's the problem with working too hard at the beginning of the semester, I have really good grades so I'm tempted to just coast on those. Also I think I used up my motivation for this semester now I'm running low. I'm constantly reminding myself that when it's all over I'll be in Cuba days later but even that's not working so well anymore. Sigh. Well, I'm off to finish a paper. Bare minimum is better than nothing, right?
